Document Overview

MITLY - MEMBERSHIP REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Legal V2.2 - Detailed Membership + Public Plan Model

Effective Date: 06/25/2026

Legal Contact: support@mitlyapp.com

This Policy explains cancellation, renewal, refund review, billing disputes, and the limits of Mitly's responsibility for membership access charges.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies only to payments made to Mitly or Mitly's payment processor for Mitly membership access, subscription access, account access, or other platform-access charges. This Policy does not apply to any separate user-to-user arrangement, communication, expectation, amount, gift, reimbursement, transportation cost, venue cost, or other off-platform or independent arrangement.

Mitly is a membership-based public social planning directory and technology platform. Mitly sells access to platform features only. Mitly does not sell meetings, attendance, companionship, friendship, dating, transportation, security, emergency response, or any real-world service.

2. What Membership Charges Cover

Membership charges may provide access to member-only Mitly features, which may include sending public-plan requests, using messaging, saving profiles, browsing additional profile information, accessing optional manual safety tools, viewing account tools, and using other membership features made available by Mitly.

Membership charges are payments to Mitly for access to the platform. They are not payments to approved public profiles, not payment for attendance, not payment for a meeting, not payment for companionship, and not payment for any real-world service.

3. Subscription Billing and Renewal

Membership may be billed on a recurring basis, such as monthly, unless otherwise stated at checkout. By purchasing recurring membership access, you authorize Mitly or its payment processor to charge your selected payment method for the recurring amount, applicable taxes where required, and any disclosed renewal charges until you cancel.

The exact price, renewal period, trial period if any, and cancellation terms should be displayed at checkout or in the membership account tools. If pricing or features change, Mitly may provide notice where required by law or where Mitly chooses to do so.

4. How to Cancel Membership

Members may cancel paid membership through the membership or account page when available, through the payment processor portal when available, or by contacting Mitly at support@mitlyapp.com. Cancellation stops future renewals after the current billing period unless otherwise stated by the processor or applicable law.

Deleting the app, closing a browser, not using the Services, failing to send a public-plan request, not receiving responses, or not completing a public plan does not automatically cancel recurring membership. Members are responsible for using the available cancellation method before the renewal date if they do not want to be charged again.

5. No Guarantee of Responses, Acceptance, Attendance, or Results

Membership provides access to platform tools. It does not guarantee that any approved public profile will respond, accept a request, continue a conversation, attend a public plan, meet expectations, or provide any outcome. Lack of response, declined requests, cancelled requests, incompatibility, user dissatisfaction, or a public plan not occurring does not automatically entitle a member to a refund.

Mitly may choose to review exceptional situations, but any discretionary review does not create a general refund right or waive this Policy.

6. Refund Review for Mitly Membership Charges

If you believe a Mitly membership charge was made in error, contact support@mitlyapp.com promptly. Mitly may review billing errors, duplicate charges, technical subscription issues, unauthorized account access allegations, processor errors, or other exceptional circumstances.

Refunds, if any, are discretionary except where required by applicable law, payment processor rules, or card-network rules. Mitly may deny refund requests where the user had access to membership features, failed to cancel before renewal, violated Mitly's rules, created safety or fraud concerns, misused the platform, or requested a refund based on a separate user-to-user issue outside Mitly's billing system.

7. No Refunds for Separate User-to-User Arrangements

Mitly does not process, collect, escrow, hold, tip, withdraw, release, pay out, verify, enforce, refund, reverse, guarantee, or resolve separate user-to-user amounts. Mitly cannot refund money it did not process.

Any lawful arrangement users independently discuss outside Mitly's membership billing system is solely between those users, outside Mitly, not processed by Mitly, not guaranteed by Mitly, and must comply with Mitly's public-only, non-sexual, lawful-use rules. Disputes over separate arrangements are not Mitly membership refund issues.

8. Chargebacks, Payment Disputes, and Non-Waivable Rights

Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable payment dispute, chargeback, cancellation, refund, or consumer rights that apply under law or card-network rules. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, Mitly may provide relevant records to the payment processor, including account status, membership access records, checkout disclosures, cancellation records, support communications, and policy acknowledgements.

Mitly may suspend or restrict membership access while a payment dispute, fraud review, chargeback, or billing issue is pending, subject to applicable law.

9. Trials, Promotions, Coupons, and Free Access

Mitly may offer free trials, promotional pricing, coupons, limited access, or other special terms. Such offers may have specific eligibility rules, expiration dates, renewal terms, geographic limits, or cancellation requirements. Promotional access does not create a right to future free access or discounted access.

If a trial converts into a paid membership, the renewal and cancellation terms displayed at checkout or in the relevant offer apply. Members are responsible for cancelling before trial expiration if they do not want to be charged, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

10. Suspensions, Bans, and Rule Violations

Mitly may suspend, limit, or terminate membership access if Mitly believes a user violated the Terms, Community Rules, Member Rules, Approved Public Profile Rules, public-only requirements, safety policies, payment rules, or applicable law.

A user who is suspended, restricted, or banned for rule violations, safety concerns, fraud, abuse, harassment, prohibited conduct, or platform misuse is not automatically entitled to a refund. Mitly may consider refunds where required by law or where Mitly determines in its discretion that a refund is appropriate.

11. Taxes and Processor Fees

Membership charges may include applicable taxes, fees, or processor-related amounts where required or disclosed. Tax treatment may vary by location, membership product, processor, and applicable law. Mitly may rely on third-party processors or tax tools to calculate and collect applicable taxes.

12. Changes to This Policy

Mitly may update this Policy from time to time. Updated terms may apply to future billing periods, future purchases, future renewals, or future refund requests, subject to applicable law. Continued use of paid membership after an updated Policy becomes effective may constitute acceptance of the updated Policy.

13. Contact

Billing, cancellation, and refund questions may be sent to support@mitlyapp.com. Legal notices may be directed to: Mitly Legal Notices, care of Mitly support, support@mitlyapp.com. A formal business mailing address will be published before paid membership launch.
